Taking lessons with TLC gives students starting in CP or CE1 the possibility of developing English as a skill for life while learning within the natural learning curve. (the curve where learning and teaching are fun and agreeable).
“Developing English as a skill for life”, requires uniting the best learning conditions, being students of the same learning age, students with the same English language level, a structured curriculum adapted to students in primary school along with the need to monitor students learning individually with biannual progress reports.
Students learn in groups of maximum 8 students per class in our school based at 62 rue des Renaudes in Paris (75017). They follow 30 1H30 lessons in the year outside of school and public holidays.

The courses TLC Offers are to be chosen depending on the school year the student starts their learning of English. These courses feed into two possible curriculums or CURSUS.
TLC SCHOOL CURSUS – TLC BAC C2 (objectif C2 at the end of Terminale) :
As of the 6ème, students of TLC SCHOOL following the CURSUS Bac C2 will continue their learning of English in a group setting online with a maximum of 4 students per class in order to attain a C2 in English at the end of Terminale.This certification is the highest available for language learning
TLC SCHOOL CURSUS – TLC BAC C1 (objectif C1 at the end of Terminale)
As of the 6ème, students of TLC SCHOOL following the CURSUS Bac C1 will continue their learning of English in a group setting online with a maximum of 4 students per class in order to attain a C1 in English at the end of Terminale.This certification is that which is required for university students entering a competitive or highly competitive school.

This programme allows students who have completed the learning prerequisites for each year to enter the next, offering the most ideal English language learning conditions in Paris today for beginner learners. Students having completed TLC School are able to continue their English language learning with TLC Home following the TLC Bac C2 curriculum.
Students can join a fun one year phonetic course designed to teach the 44 sounds of the English language. A0
Students can join a fun yet ambitious course designed to teach the 44 sounds as well as the basics of simple sentence grammar. A1-. This course is a prerequisite to Cycle 2-2 in CE2.
Students revise what they learned the previous year and learn to write simple sentences in all the three forms (affirmative negative interrogative in all the tenses). A1. This course is a prerequisite to Cycle 2-3 in CM1.
Students revise what they learned in the previous two years and learn to write complex sentences and open questions. A2-. This course is a prerequisite to Cycle 2-4 in CM2.
Last year of this programme revises all previous learning intentions and prepares to validate the A2 level by sitting the Cambridge exams in November. Acheiving A2 level is that required to pass the Brevet de Collèges.
